CA State Thespian Festival 2026

We will discuss vision, scope and process for directing a stage production. We will breakdown a scene and determine best approaches to blocking. We will practice deciding what a scene requires of actors and how to effectively share that vision with actors to create a dynamic performance. We will direct a scene with multiple goals and see how to block the same scene in different ways to achieve the desired emotional response from the audience while facilitating an effective set of circumstances for the actors to experience.
