About me
Deanna L. Zibello (she/her) is an educator and an award-winning scenic designer. She holds a BA in Theatre from Williams College (1998) and an MFA in Scenic Design from University of Washington School of Drama (2009). Deanna has worked as a stagehand, carpenter, or technician at theaters across the country, and she is a member of IATSE, the Stagehands' Union. As a scenic designer, Deanna has designed over 75 realized productions. She has received the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Meritorious Achievement Award on numerous occasions, Gay Chicago Magazine's After Dark Award for Outstanding Scenic Design, the Seattle Theatre Writers' Gypsy Rose Lee Award for Excellence in Set Design (twice), and Theatre Puget Sound's Gregory Award for Outstanding Scenic Design. She has been an Assistant/Associate Professor at Saint Mary's since 2014. https://deannazibello.com/
